All trademarks, product names, logos, and brand elements are property of their respective owners. Unauthorized reproduction, copying, or misuse of any content, images, designs, or branding material is strictly prohibited.
Warranty is applicable only as per the official warranty policy, product sticker, and invoice terms issued by NORTHSTAR ENERGY INDUSTRIES. The company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, commercial, or consequential damages arising from the use or misuse of products.
Warranty Terms & Conditions
DURAMAX products are warranted against manufacturing defects only arising during the applicable warranty period. Warranty is limited strictly to defects caused due to faulty material or poor workmanship.
Warranty period commences from the original “Date of Sale” as registered on the company official website and supported by original invoice/bill.
The warranty is non-transferable and applicable only to the original purchaser.
Every battery/product carries a Barcode/QR Code sticker and serial identification label. Customers and dealers must ensure product registration on the official company platform with necessary details including:
Product Serial Number
Date of Purchase
Vehicle Number / VIN Number (for EV products)
Customer Mobile Number / Email ID
Dealer/Seller Code
Vehicle/Application Details
Warranty terms applicable to the respective product category shall be governed only by:
Sticker affixed on the product
Official company website
Official warranty policy issued by NORTHSTAR ENERGY INDUSTRIES
Any warranty commitments, extensions or verbal assurances given by unauthorized persons, dealers or third parties shall not be binding on the company.
In case of complaint/failure, the customer must send the product with untampered QR/Barcode sticker, original invoice and warranty card to the authorized dealer/service location at customer’s own transportation cost.
The repaired/replaced product shall be collected by the customer from the same service/dealer location after completion of inspection/testing.
The decision whether a product requires repair, service or replacement shall rest solely with Universal New Energy
Transportation charges, installation charges, taxes or any other incidental expenses related to repair/replacement shall be borne by the customer.
Replacement or repaired products shall continue only for the remaining warranty period calculated from the original date of purchase.
Defective/replaced batteries or products become property of the company under free replacement or pro-rata settlement. No scrap value or compensation shall be payable.
In case a particular model is discontinued, the company reserves the right to provide an equivalent or alternate model.
The company shall not be responsible for any indirect, consequential or commercial losses including loss of income, vehicle downtime, business interruption, data loss, or damages arising from product failure.
Lithium batteries used in E-Rickshaw, Loader, E-Scooter or commercial applications must be operated within specified load limits and approved charging systems only.
PowerWall and SmartVolt Lithium products must be used only with compatible inverter systems, approved electrical wiring and proper earthing conditions.
Warranty for PowerWall/Home Backup products shall become void in case of:
Improper installation
Overload conditions
Water seepage/moisture exposure
Use with incompatible inverter/solar systems
Improper ventilation or overheating
Commercial usage beyond recommended operating conditions including excessive overloading, unauthorized modifications or continuous heavy-duty misuse is not covered under warranty.
WARRANTY SHALL BECOME VOID IF THE PRODUCT IS:
a. Transferred to another person, equipment, vehicle or application.
b. Used in applications other than specified by the company application chart.
c. Used with incompatible chargers, controllers, inverter systems or electrical setups.
d. Physically damaged due to accident, mishandling, negligence, fire, flooding or collision.
e. Opened, tampered, modified or repaired by unauthorized persons/technicians.
f. Found with removed, altered, damaged or tampered Barcode/QR sticker or serial label.
g. Used beyond the warranty period.
h. Installed in NON-EV applications where EV battery is intended only for electric vehicles.
i. Used on rental basis, commercial leasing or unauthorized fleet operations unless specifically approved by the company.
WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER:
a. Damage caused by faulty electrical systems, voltage fluctuations, short circuits or improper charging.
b. Damage due to water ingress, rusting, corrosion, overheating or improper ventilation.
c. Breakage of outer casing, connectors, terminals, container or cover.
d. Normal wear & tear, backup reduction due to aging/cycle life and cosmetic damage.
e. Products not registered on official company website/platform.
f. Damage caused due to use of non-recommended chargers/accessories.
g. Any software/data/settings loss in connected UPS or PowerWall systems.
h. Consumable accessories and external fittings unless specifically covered.
i. Customers must not use the battery if the connector or wiring is damaged. In such cases, the customer must immediately contact the authorized dealer or service center for inspection and repair. Any use of the battery in a damaged condition may lead to malfunction, safety hazards, or product failure. The company shall not be held responsible or liable for any damage, loss, accident, or issue arising from the continued use of a damaged battery or connector.
2+1 YEAR WARRANTY POLICY:
The battery comes with a 2+1 year warranty. During the first 2 years, any manufacturing defect or eligible issue will be repaired free of cost by the company. During the additional 1-year extended warranty period, no labour or service charges will be applicable; however, the customer will be required to bear the cost of any faulty or replacement parts/components needed for repair.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
Use only recommended chargers, adapters and accessories.
Do not expose battery/products to fire, direct sunlight, water or excessive heat.
Do not puncture, dismantle or modify battery packs.
Ensure proper ventilation during charging and operation.
Keep away from children and flammable materials.
Use proper electrical protection and earthing for inverter/PowerWall installations.
Disconnect power supply before servicing.
Store products in cool and dry conditions.
